A Novel Approach Towards Dynamic And Scalable Video Communication Using OFDMA and C-OFDMA Schemes over Wireless 4G Networks
ABSTRACT:
In this paper, we acclimate a low complexity Robust Adaptive Beamforming algorithm for multiuser successive Maximum Ratio Transmission (RAB-MRT) toward space-division multiplexing to achieve video quality maximization in the downlink of a multiuser (MU) with multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency-division multiple-access (OFDMA)-based fourth generation (4G) and Carrier based OFDMA (C-OFDMA) wireless network. In this work, an adaptive framework is proposed and simulated for multi-user video transmission over OFDMA and CFDMA based communication system for the efficient streaming of multi-layered H.264 video over wireless channels. The proposed method is to combine adaptive sub-carrier allocation and bit loading with the transmission of the H.264 SVC(Scalable Video Coding ) encoded video sequences in order to increase the number of supported users in the system and provide the best quality of service(QoS) to the sub-carriers. We also define a novel energy efficient utility as the unifying metric based on the MOS(MEAN OPINION SCORE) model and the system power consumption. The main objective is to maximize the energy efficiency by balancing the MOS and the power consumption for each user. The power allocation problem is solved by using constrained particle swarm optimization (CPSO). The paper proposes an overview of the system and tests its performance through extensive simulations. The proposed framework significantly improves the video transmission quality with the maximum use of radio resources
