ABSTRACT:
Insurance Management System is an application designed for a group of insurance agents, which supports the maintenance activities of Insurance Policies and their associated company details their procedures in maintaining various types of policies, with the corresponding details of Policy holders, associated agents involved in the policy maintenance and etc.
This web based system design maintains the details of the Companies offering various types of insurance policies, concerned agents and the detailed information of customers with their corresponding policies. The design aims at providing the agents and the customers a facility to access the information of policies their descriptions, which include starting date, renewal date, premium payable, claims information, date of maturity and etc., under various categories like Life, Motor, House Hold, House-hold items and the corresponding company details.
The system serves the basic purpose of maintaining the relation between the customers, agents and the various Insurance companies in an accustomed fashion.

DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM:
- It is time taking process.
- There is no online Insurance management facility in this system.
- There is no rich user interface.
- There is very less security for saving data; some data may be loss due to mismanagement.
- In this system there is no report generation.
- It’s a limited system and fewer users friendly.
- In this system users cannot able to restrict the information.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
- The actual process of the organization can be modularized into three different independent views 1.Agent view
- Policy holders view
- System administrators view
- The Agent at any time can view the required information whether it is policies, or customers at the click of a mouse and instance of a second.
- If planned in an organized manner the customers can be provided an online terminal where they can access the information at their own hands with out the basic intervention manually.
- The customers or policyholder’s reminders can be generated at lightening speed just by query for the specific customers.
- The information while it is collected can referentially be segregated into their respective databases from single window, saving the time of multiple data entries.
- The customers policy premium payment status can be viewed in a systematized manner by the Agents and cross verify the defaulters.
- The claim status raised by a specific policyholder can be tracked very clearly in a transparent manner, and checked until the claim is settled.
- Above all the overall system can at any time provide consistent and reliable information authenticated upon its operations.

- Our insurance management system is very useful to customers in providing more information about all insurance companies and their policies that are uniquely launched in our website.
- The system reduces manual work during registration of policies.
- This system also provides online payments for the customers.
